- His appearance was greatly influenced by the original series's Cloudstar...however, his design was also inspired by that cloudy wallpaper in Toy Story (don't ask). But his scars and injuries obviously weren't.
- He is not featured in Forever; however, he and Brightstar did have a fling at one point.
- Quartz will be given a second chance, during which he'll accidentally revive his three kits (including his two evil sons) in a complex manner. But during this time, he will get his own mate and have a final litter of kits with a gal whom he will actually love.
